Wolf Creek receives significantly more snow than rest of Colorado. During storms, Alberta Chair becomes prime immediately-opening terrain. Drive conditions to pass can be hazardous during active weather. After storms subside, lettered glades and snowcat terrain offer deepest snow with minimal crowds. Expect 2+ foot storms to be common at Wolf Creek while surrounding areas receive 6-8 inches max. Early-season (late November) terrain opens gradually after storms with trees still thin; wait 2-3 days post-storm for full terrain opening.
