Primary airport. Major intl hub. Sea-to-Sky Hwy (Hwy 99) North through Squamish. Fully upgraded divided highway, well-maintained, rarely fully closes. Friday afternoon traffic notorious. Storm conditions 2.5–4hrs. BC winter tires mandatory.
Ground Transport
RECOMMENDED. $32 CAD one-way / $42 CAD RT. Frequent daily. Free luggage/ski gear, wifi. YVR Intl Arrivals Bus Bay 9. Whistler Shuttle ($80–$100 CAD) for door-to-door. Epic Rides also available.
FWD with winter tires adequate. Parking paid $10–$40 CAD. Village lots fill early on powder weekends. AWD recommended but not essential.
