Primary airport, major Delta hub. Same SR-210 Little Cottonwood Canyon as Alta — Snowbird is 1 mile downhill. Storm conditions 1.5–4hrs. Same road closures, avalanche control, interlodge risk. Entry 1 is lowest/first stop — gets you in/out of canyon faster.
Ground Transport
RECOMMENDED. Same bus as Alta — stops at Snowbird Entries 1–4 before continuing to Alta. Cliff Lodge stop closest to main village. FREE with Ikon Pass. TRAX Green Line from airport to Sandy Station, then Route 994 every 30 min.
$50–$100 normal, $100–$200+ surge. Return rides from Snowbird slightly better than Alta but still limited.
$60–$150/day for SUV. Same SR-210 traction law and canyon concerns as Alta. More parking than Alta — free, no reservation required, multiple lots at each entry point. Still fills by 9:30am on powder weekends. Carpools 3+ get priority. AWD/4WD strongly recommended.
